Bio: As a staff psychologist at the University of Maryland Counseling Center since 1985, I have worked as a therapist and clinical supervisor, and as a faculty member teaching graduate classes in the area of career development and clinical assessment. Furthermore, I have experience as an administrator, I served as the Counseling Center's pre-doctoral Training Director for 7 years, and I have conducted and published research.
Bio: I am a fourth year student in the Counseling Psychology Program at the University of Maryland, College Park. I completed my B.A. in Historic Preservation and Psychology at Mary Washington College (Va.) in May of 2004. In May 2007, I completed my M.S. in Clinical Psychology from Loyola College in Maryland. I'm interested in the effects of counseling on diverse populations, the inclusion of underrepresented populations in therapy, and the interaction between physical and mental health. Being proficient in Spanish, I am particularly interested in the above issues as related to Hispanic populations. I'm currently a Research Assistant in the Testing, Research, and Data Processing Unit at the Counseling Center, investigating the help-seeking behavior and preferred diversity programming of college freshmen.
