
Our internship program provides training for individuals who are interested in pursuing employment and careers in a college or university counseling center setting. The internship involves participation in supervised individual and group counseling, outreach activities, supervisory experiences with practicum students, alternative treatment modalities, consultation, research, and evaluation. Participation in staff meetings, committees, and case conferences, seminars, and involvement in administrative functions are expected and encouraged. Interns are expected to work one evening during the course of the work week.
November 5, 2007. The University of Maryland Counseling Center adheres to all notification guidelines established by the Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers.
Forward a complete packet of application materials, including three letters of recommendation (signature of the recommender across the seal on the back), official transcripts, and other supporting documents.
