University of Maryland Counseling Center

Psychological Services to Children, Adolescents, and their Parents

The UPCCES provides a campus-wide service to University-connected families, children, and adolescents with problems of learning, achievement, or adjustment. It has been in existence approximately 35 years, and has an established history of providing high quality counseling, consultation, psychological evaluation, and training experiences.

The services are intended for University-connected persons, such as University of Maryland faculty, staff, alumni, and students. All contacts with the UPCCES are confidential, and culturally sensitive. The service is offered on a nominal fee basis. UPCCES is under the direction of Dr. Beth S. Warner, Licensed Psychologist, who can be reached by phone (301-314-7673) or email (bwarner1@umd.edu).
