
| When can I test? | Monday and Saturday: 9:30am, 11:30am, or 1:30pm Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday: 5pm or 7pm The test takes about two hours. Please report at least 15 minutes before your appointment time. |
| How do I register? | Complete the registration form. List 4 dates, in order of preference, for each test. Be sure the dates fall on the open test days noted above. Fill out one separate Registration Form for each test. |
| What do I send with my registration? | 1. Completed registration form. (Any incomplete forms will delay the process of registration.) 2. A self-addressed, stamped envelope. 3. US $25 non-refundable administration fee. * Registration forms without administration fees will NOT be accepted. |
| How to pay for the administration fee? | The administration fee is US $25 per test, check or money order only. Make it payable to "University of Maryland." Write your name on the check. Please note this administration fee is in addition to the $70 CLEP testing fee. |
| When should I register? | Registrations must be postmarked four weeks prior to your earliest requested test date. |

| Will I receive confirmation of my testing appointment? | We will mail you confirmation of your registration. If you have not received your confirmation one week before your requested test date, call the Testing Office at (301) 314-7688. |
| What if I need to cancel or reschedule? | Call the Testing Office at least five days before your scheduled test date. For each rescheduling, you need to pay a US $25 rescheduling fee (check or money order payable to "University of Maryland"). Rescheduling will NOT be processed until the rescheduling fee is received. Another confirmation will be mailed to you as soon as your appointment has been rescheduled. For cancellation, the administration fee is non-refundable. |
| Can I walk-in to take the test? | No. You need to register at least two weeks in advance. |
| What if I need a special accommodation? | UMCP students with disabilities should have a current file at UMCP. Another acceptable documentation can be a signed statement from an appropriate professional that describes the disability and verifies the need for testing accommodation. All supporting documentations must be current (no older than three years) and must be presented on official letterhead. |

| What if I am a military/government-funded civilian? | All the testing procedures remain the same as regular candidates, except: 1. $70 testing fee is waived. 2. Military ID is required to take the exam. 3. Optional essay is provided at no charge. |
