College Bound Program


High school juniors and seniors who want to get a "running start" on college can sharpen their study skills at the University of Maryland at College Park. The Learning Assistance Service (LAS) of the Counseling Center offers group workshops on time management, note-taking textbook reading, and exam preparation, and other skills needed to succeed in college. In addition, participants learn more about the transition to college directly from college students and visit two lecture classes and several campus resources.

All college-bound juniors and seniors are encouraged to make a special effort to attend. The Spring 2008 College-Bound Program runs each Monday, from 4:30pm to 6:30pm, starting January 28th through May 19th. The program cost is $280. The fee for two siblings is $420 (25% off for each student).
