Eligibility Guidelines

Who is eligible to register for services?

In order to receive services through DSS, a student, faculty or staff person with a documented disability must make themselves known to DSS. This involves meeting with one of the senior staff members of DSS, providing appropriate documentation and completing the registration process.

Definition of Disability

With respect to an individual, the term "disability"means

(A)      A physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more of the
          major life activities of such individual;
(B)      A record of such an impairment; or
(C)      Being regarded as having such an impairment.
